Joyce Ann Bartruff, 65, of Anna, died at 3:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, in Cape Girardeau. She was born on Feb. 10, 1952, in Anna, the daughter of Wayne Watson and Florence Elizabeth Brasel Bartruff. She had lived in Anna her entire life, where she was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School, a member of the United Methodist Church, Anna Eastern Star Chapter No. 522 and had worked at RAVE for over 40 years. Surviving are two sisters, Linda (Ed) Boyd and Sharon Hileman; nieces and nephews Valerie (John) Bollinger, Ned (Amy) Boyd, Justin (Brittany) Hileman and Megan (Josh) Tolson; great-nieces and great-nephews Ethan, Susan, Beth, Maren, Boyd, David, Reid, Emmitt and Adalei; and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by two great-nieces, Laura and Anna Bollinger. Graveside services were held at the Anna Cemetery in Anna, at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017. The Rev. Larry Buckles, pastor of Union Church in Villa Ridge officiated. Interment followed. McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., was in charge of arrangements. Debra Dee "Debbie" Jackson, 61, died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014, at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 2, 1953, in Anna, the daughter of William James and Glenda May Treece Davis. She married Roger Jackson on June 12, 1971, in Anna. Debbie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Roger Jackson of Anna; two sons and daughters-in law, Jim and Sarah Jackson of Stouffville, Ontario and Jason and Jamie Jackson of Sparta; three grandchildren, Cale and Delaney Jackson of Stouffville, Ontario, and Charlie Jackson of Sparta; her parents, Bill and Glenda Davis of Anna; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Connie Davis of Canon City, Colorado, and Randy Davis and Emily Chamness of Marion; eight brothers and sisters-in-law, Doris and Wayne Whiteside of Dongola, Gary and Linda Jackson of Jonesboro, Ron and Linda Jackson of Elizabethtown, and Pam and Jeff Gee of Carterville; many nieces and nephews; great- nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. Debbie was firmly committed to her family and the families of Southern Illinois. She worked for many years as a family service specialist for Addus Family Services and the Department of Children and Family Services. Through her time with Addus and DCFS, Debbie was tirelessly involved with the Angel Tree program, providing Christmas gifts and food for families in need. She volunteered her services for many summers assisting in the management and day-to-day operations of the concession stand for the Union County Khoury League. Debbie was also a longtime member of the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary and a talented seamstress. Debbie's unfailing commitment to children, families, and her community will be warmly remembered by those who's lives she touched. Services for Mrs. Debra Dee Jackson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 22, in Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. John Cripps officiating. Interment will be in Casper Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, May 21, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to ST. Jude CHILDREN's Research Hospital or the Anna VFW Ladies Auxiliary Cancer Aid Research Program. William Lawrence (Billy) Grisham, of Chiefland, Fla., and formerly of Anna, died Monday, March 28, 2016, at 11 p.m. in Chiefland, Fla. He was born in Anna, on July 27, 1952, the son of Wilbur L. (Ubie) and Wanda Leavell Grisham. He married Thelma Edwards on Dec. 17, 1977, in Cape Girardeau. They shared 38 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Grisham of Chiefland, Fla.; one son, Darrin Grisham of Chiefland, Fla.; two stepchildren, Kelly Miller and Bryan Boyd of Kentucky; two grandsons, Gage and Castin Grisham of Chiefland, Fla.; four step-grandchildren; a sister, Marsha (Larry) Ridenhour of Anna; two nephews, Greg Ridenhour of Mattoon and Bradley Ridenhour of Anna; a great-niece Taylor Ridenhour and a great-nephew Drake Ridenhour, both of Anna. He also is survived by special lifetime friends Jeff Harris, Steve Landreth, Jerry Bittle and Jerry Cates, who drove many miles to support him during his illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He was a member of the class of 1970 at Anna-Jonesboro Community High School and a graduate of the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard. He practiced chiropractic in Cape Girardeau for eight years and in Campbellsville, Ky., for 21 years before retiring and moving to Chiefland, Fla. He was a member of Chiefland Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and loved to go fishing. His family said his smiling face and sense of humor will be missed by many relatives and friends.

Michael A. McNeely, 63, of Anna, died at 5:01 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. He was born on May 2, 1952, in Carbondal, the son of Earl Chester and Betty Lou Yates McNeely. He married Janie Holden. He worked as an engineer in Dallas, Texas, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an artist, enjoyed the great outdoors and liked to work with computers. He is survived by his mother, Betty Lou McNeely of Anna; a sister, Martha (Darrell) Crimmins of Carrollton, Texas; brother, Jeff (Suki) McNeely of Osan Air Base, Korea; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl, and his wife, Janie McNeely. As per the family's wishes, there will be no services. Private inurnment will be in the Egyptian Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorials can be made to Illinois Veterans Home in Anna. JONESBORO - James Harold "Jimmy" Page, 57, died at 9:41 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, at his home. He was born Jan. 12, 1952, in Anna, the son of Harold Wilbert and Mattilene "Mat" Moore Page. He married Sheri LaDawn Gifford on Sept. 1, 1973, in Anna. Jimmy was a member of Mount Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna. He started working in the Illinois Department of Corrections when he was 17. He continued to work his way through the ranks, where he at one time held the position of assistant deputy director of corrections for the state of Illinois; he continued working in this field and retired after 32 years. He was an avid SIUC Salukis and Southern Illinois Miners supporter. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Sheri Page of Jonesboro; one son, James Harold "Jimmy" Page II and his wife Candice of Jonesboro; his parents, Harold and Mat Page of Anna; one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Lisa Page of Chester; two brothers-in-law, Doug and Tom Stoner, both of Anna; one aunt, Claudine Lovejoy of Lufkin, Texas; one uncle, Dan and wife Cheryl Page of Cape Girardeau; nieces, Mandy and Ashley Page, and Amy and husband Aaron Eggemeyer; great-niece and great-nephew, Cooper Thomas Eggemeyer and Emma Page Eggemeyer; a cousin, Linda Berry; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilbert and Martha Page, and James and Tommie Moore. Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2009, in Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Christine Erdmann, and the Rev. Dr. Richard Hertenstein officiating.
